Romania’s industry has dramatically decreased in the last 20 years. After fall of communism, millions of people lost their jobs in the factories, and maybe thousands of factories were closed. While, the former workers are nostalgic, the young people are looking for ways to use the ruins. ARTE TV has covered the story “What are the people doing now with the ruins” in several European countries. In Romania, the story is about young people in Tecuci doing parkour in the ruins of the factories where their parents, or at least people from their parents’ generation, used to go every day at work.
